Dhoom 2: Fast bikes, hot girls and Dashing Dudes( A perfect way to chill out)

Movies.Are you a movie fanatic? Get the first tickets to the first show whenever there’s a new movie in town? You a student? Then you are surely the one waiting to get the tickets on a Sat and Sunday morning show in Jai Nepal. Why? Because they give a student’s discount then, Duh! And most importantly if you are a Nat Col student that is the closest cinema hall to college. Gopi Krishna is Rs 25 cheaper but we have college in the morning so that leaves Jai Nepal, which is closely as the only viable option. Anyways going to watch a movie on a Sat or Sunday morn would mean bunking Public Finance or Conflict Management classes.

Dhoom 2

Dhoom 2 was released last Friday. I wanted to see this movie real badly.But with a shoestring budget which is Rs 0.36 balance on the cell phone, Rs 100 burrowed from Asish and having donated some quarter a million to the college ( damn costly yaar, private colleges are the broad daylight looters for sure!) as Fees imagine my extravagant lifestyle! Don’t even talk of my Converse, which is torn but am so in love with it that I can’t just let go. Conspicuous as it is I saw no way I could materialize Dhoom 2 into reality. Thank heavens was paid Rs 1000 for something I wrote, which revived all my movie instincts! hehehe But hey, a fren bought the ticket, so am still the Heavily Indebted Poor Student !! ohho yo tannam hari jindagi, kahile tanna paisa kamaune yaar, yo bikase karyakarta bhayera ta don’t see the slightest chance too…Je hos I watched the Movie!!
The first time, I ever watched a movie before any of my friends got a chance to zoom off to cinema halls in “definately male” pulsar bikes! Yahoooooo

My reason for wanting to watch the movie were the “Khatra Bikes and Ghatak Men” FOR SURE!! Its once in a blue moon affair when I want to see a Bollywood movie. But am not the kind who watches all Hollywood releases either. I love to watch movies on TV, strictly alone, or with my sister at home. Basically enjoy whatever they show in Star movies, Cinemax and HBO. Hindi movies mostly overdo everything, like it sometimes but mostly enjoy listening to the songs rather. Moreover the “Always love” theme is the biggest disappointment. Maybe relationships make a good storyline but I can no more bear ‘dancing around trees’ and triangular love stories. With over 800 film releases annually I recommend the bollywood filmmakers to take a next step and delve into complexities of relationships rather. Something more closer to life like “Love actually”, interesting like ” Harry Met Sally” ( A dialogue from this movie which is simply awesome: ” When you have found the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want the rest of your life to start from now”) or different like “An Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” ( my favorite movie). I thoroughly enjoy Action movies too but no Sci-fi please, (can’t even bear to hear of Star Wars) . But bollywood and action sequences are a misfit. Hoped it differed in Dhoom 2 but saw no difference.

Now let me talk of the most talked about movie in town these days “Dhoom 2″. The star cast I would say is the magnetic factor, which automatically draws the audience to the theatres: Hritik Roshan, Abhishek Bacchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vipasa Vasu and Uday Chopra. Couldn’t stand Uday Chopra in the Dhoom 1. Felt like he was there just because his father was behind the movie making and all. Most girls find him cute nevertheless. However his entry was great in this one. An yellow bike, zooms out of nowhere to land on a boat, Uday Chopra the rider wears a shirt (the same color as his bike), a scarf tied on his head, and muscular arms. He does it well. But the background music whenever Uday comes across any hot-gal i.e Vips here is just disgusting. Watch the movie and find out.

The No nonsense guy

Abhishek enters, on a motorboat or whatever they are called. Hmmm he lacks style. He looks too tall and seems to be bending lower than necessary. A bearded face, tall physique, Jai Dixit, the officer. He’s fine for the role. Looks like a guy next door and whatever he does the “Abhishek Bachhan the sensitive and sensible” guy image can’t be wiped off. Is there anyone who doesn’t love this guy? I wonder. His interviews are great, he is humorous and just the kind we girls would call ” a guy in touch with his emotional side” too. He is the complete package! I like him as a person, hahah as if I know him.

But its Hritik who is the X-factor of the movie. The eye catcher, the man to look forward too.Check him out girls. That’s Hritik aka Aryan the Man. My favorite look of Hritik is the first time he is shown walking on the streets of Mumbai. A blue eye-gear, light blue shirt, something like “galbandi” around the neck and exposed chest. And Man, what confidence, what attitude, what gait! Simply mind blowing! Under normal circumstances one thing I just hate in guys is them exposing their chesters(I am confused if its called that, whatever), supposed to be a symbol of masculinity but Ugh makes me want to literally throw up! Thankfully its winter now but I just don’t understand guys who wear those extra-neck and chest revealing v-neck Thamel t-shirts in summer. First it’s too flimsy, second men don’t have nice necks! Ek ta khamba jasto thick neck, tesmathi tyo exposure! Gawd! The only person who looks fine with that is Saif Ali in Dil Chahata hai. (Well have watched the movie innumerous times, can even tell you the scene but won’t! hehehe)

Forget the rest, Hritik looks too good to complain. His presence in the screen is imposing. He even overshadows Ash the Heartthrob of men all over the world (not to forget some blogstars in town) hahaha. Hritik is the steals the show with his magic. He acts, he dances and he Rocks. Don’t you find his dance simply unbelievable? I mean how can someone be sooo flexible…. Was left speechless. Every scene flaunts his look. I loved the way he looks on the basketball court with Ash. It was an interesting scene so let me do some detailing here.

Wow! Some Game, Some Look!

Its raining. Ash the hot gal is clad in the shortest shirt ever; Hritik oviously looks overdressed in front of her.

The Game’s Just Begun!

Hritik asks” Hey, are you like checking me out?” Some dialogue I must say.The game starts. H keeps scoring one after another. Darlin Ash should have practiced dribbling at least because her handling the basketball clearly exposes the drawback. What an isult to us women, I mean come on Miss World should be unbeatable. The director’s fault I would say on capitalizing on the general assumption of “gals can’t play” thing…. I expected a more competitive game, so was disappointed. And the raining environemt is again the typical Bollywood style of casting stars. A basketball game on a rainy night. Dejavu??

You surely know her! Ash the Beauty!

Ash, as usual isn’t much of an actress. The only film I feel she has really acted as in real acting is in ” Devdas”. She’s Beautiful though, the world knows that ( kati repeat garnu?) I thought Vips fared better in her role as a police officer. She’s HOT. …. what else?

Hot Gal

Ah..the great kissing scene. Kiss and bollywood films. Interesting combination don’t you think? Hahaha I liked it better as in the old hindi films when the camera would capture the flowers and bees whenever the stars got overwhelmed with desire.lol.I think the bollywood folks should let the Westeners promote their “suffocating kiss” scenes. ( I wonder why I never hear of kiss of death! m sure a lot of diseases get transferred that way!) Garepachi pro lai nai garna dinu ni or else gardai nagarnu. Ash and Hritik break all bollywood boundaries by venturing into that territory. I wasn’t really focusing on the scene as I was teasing a friend of mine ” Ok dear, don’t turn green with jealousy”.

In a nutshell: Muzic is good, not good as the first one ( Dhoom 1 though), plenty of skin show( good for guys), Hritik is hot as ever. Its all about Men, Money and Machines! So you’ll have fun. A great time pass.

What more can I ask for when I still get to see fast bikes and kool dudes amidst a mountain of assignments, hoina ta??
