Bridim homestay( Day 2 Trip)
Wasn’t listening to this song. But it was being repeatedly played in my head. Especially these “chalu” lines. And God knows why! But I like the “Bal matlab” attitude here: “We just don’t care…..
“Let’s go to the park
I wanna kiss u underneath the stars
Maybe we’ll go too far
We just don’t care
We just don’t care
We just don’t care………
John Legend:(We Just Don’t Care)
We were on the way to Bridim. It is three hours walk from Syafrubesi. You can take your time and make it four/five, your wish, your pace. There were five or six people before me. Way ahead. I called out to her in the middle of the journey but received no answer. “Keti pakkai Tethrathum kai raiche” I concluded. Ha ha ha And as the walk progressed I was convinced of my own “hard-core-hilly-origins” too! Genetic, I concluded! The rest were at and equal distance behind me. I walked somewhere in between the two groups, in an unusual route feeling somewhat lost but good. Tiring journey though, gulped down bottles and bottles of water and was sweating like a pig obviously ( a short walk in KTM turns my face into a dark red tomato, so you can picturize my color status then!). The black t-shirt was not helping at all. On the way I picked up two rhododendrons!! Yes, I was finally able to accomplish my own “Afno laligurans afain tipaun” Aviyan.

Maile affain tipeko ho ke!
dui ota! yeah he he he

Feelings are to be respected no matter who has it!! and It is only possible in a CIVILISED society!! And I think thats the ideal case I am talking about!!

I’m still feeling bitter about your telling him to walk on the other side of the road.
juggy 6:23 pm on May 2, 2007 Permalink |
Hahahaha Annitya!! I think U got into same situation some tyam huh!!

BTW!! I found that completely hilarious!! Well if that would have said to me I would have left her nowhere and returned to Kathmandu!!
But he is good fren I think and He walked on other side!! Lucky you are zade to get such fren! !
BTW by civilised society I mean to say:
Have u ever put urself in the feet of someone disabled and seen the world through them?? I mean no matter how hard we try we get to be influenced by the fact that we have to help such people!! We feel kind of Daya to them; but thats not what they really want!! They want the respect and they can be much more capable than us!! We can help them if they ask for; but we should respect them for the fight they are taking to stand with us what we called able!!They are much more able than us that way; and I personally feel proud of someone like Jhamak because She choose to stand and that too with a mark!!
Just my personal two cents and yeah I am also disabled; through the brain!!
P.S.- I too feel kinda daya for disabled ppl when I first see them because we are raised that way!! But on second thought I always put myself on their feet and respect them for their continuous fight they are taking!! They deserve much more respect that us!!
Have a nice day Zade!!

i did not comment because i too did not enjoy zade shooing off the poor guy.
who is better the one who peeped you guys in the room or your friend who obeyed you/
yes, it’s true we need to change our attitude; we should not leave the disabled or differently abled people or even mentally retarded ones.
you reminded me one real story; i will write sometime later as an entry. thanks for giving me “blog ideas” (patrakaar haru lai sandhai “story idea” ko khancho hunchha ni jasari, malai blog idea ko khancho chha
)
btw, you would have dealt with Jhamak. YOu missed the chance. I have noticed that the disabled hate sympathy. Hoina ta? (I am also sort of disabled ke. Dimaag ko disability chha. heheh
)

wrong guess, juggy; but I just didn’t understand what was going on. I’ll try reading that post again. But it was not nice unless the guy had done something wrong.
ZaDeD 5:53 am on May 3, 2007 Permalink |
hmm for the Jhamak part.. well well well until and unless I relate everything abt the meeting you won’t get it……still yah sympathy exists…unwantingly..but the case was totally differently so I guess I was in awe more than sympathetic… i know some pretty smart differently abled people and then I don’t feel sympathetic or anything like that..but just like us. yah I regret not having a proper meeting with Jhamak though. And I’m sure I will get the opportunity someday
n for all your sympathy to the poor guy as you seem to have understood and of course the way I have portrayed too, well, he isn’t bitter about that. So chill guys. And any guy not doing what he could have , thinking others would have in my case but I Didn’t , doesn’t make him any gentleman or whatever ( the term I have begun to despise these days) either…its fine if you don’t get it….I just don’t want to discuss the Pokhara trip anymore ( the reason I closed the comments section)…somethings are better forgotten…tehi ho…Hope it made some sense…but thanks for the comments.

going through this entry i m feling as if i am once again in Briddim expereincing the same fun, exicetement and a bit fear seeing that man who almost gave us a big shock peeping in our room while i was changing, i was agaun shocked shocked to see no curry in our dinner as i had expected good food that night. any way it was definately big fun and no dought that every moment we spent in bridddim will be memorable.

It was one of those memorable moment of your life while you were having the biggest (I hope I did not underestimate you) adventure. Do you know when I went to Frozen Lake (Gosainkunda; it was not frozen while I was there), I had to sleep in bed for 4 days. It was just a walk pure walk on Off-the-beaten tracks of the Langtang!!! So whatever you dare to do, will be a sort of Adventure there!!
