Unusual combination
Lately there has been nothing interesting going on in life. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday : nobody’s changed their names. Home, office, home: my day schedule hasn’t changed either. Nor has anything or anyone around me. But then something interesting happened yesterday. I got a mail which said : your work in IPRs is sexy. Intellectual Property Rights and Sexy? Has anyone ever thought of something like that? Well, I never even thought that one could have the word IPR and Sexy in the same sentence! So, I had a smile of surprise on reading the mail like this
But who knows the Americans might give a patent for ‘appearing’ sexy in a certain manner too. They seem to give IPRs for swinging the swing in a certain way too ( for some 5 year old)!! So there is no telling. Hope Obama brings some ‘change’ in the way IPRs are ‘misused’ too !
It’s been quite sometime I thought of IPRs though. In fact, I don’t even want to think of them. Who wants to? They’re complex. And it gets more complex as you start digging into it. Only months ago remembering the full form of TRIPS was the hardest thing to do! ITPGRFA followed but now I can tell the full form of both in one breath hehehe somebody please tell me, I’ve accomplished a lot! Pleaaseee.

I remember a story “hitchhiker”…1st yr ma padheko…”The most important thing in life is to do something very very hard to do ” sth like that….IPR..the sems sounds sexy to me too…It’s gr8..you are doing what is very very important and very very hard to do…Working for Farmer’s right..thats a beautiful thing, FOOD..is the most important of all, ahile world ma Petrol ko lagi war chha..bholi tyo war food ko lagi hunechha…India might rise as a gaint power for its lush plains at the bank of Ganges and we can have the share as well……You gonna have a rocking future…Dont loose this hold for IPR..jahasamma Clerical kura chha…Harek profession ma euta na euta boring part ta hunchha nai..just tesma more n more aafno niche carve garnuparchha….
hehehe..so stupid of me..Indrako agadi swargako bayan
you know it all
and You will rock it all……I believe this….coZ I have heard you Punditing at Martin Choutari about these issues overcoming the actual Pundit….Hats off

hmm the Hitchhiker who has a ratlike appearance? if I am correct… no doubt IPRs are tempting..and with a lot of potential and scope too..as we are a young nation..needing people in explored areas like that…your words cheered me up . thank you
I guess I’ll have lots of fun with IPRs in coming days too ….hopefully more field visits …not only limited to policy advocacy … desk work /academic can’t hold my concentration for long..ke garne?
and for the Martin Chautari thing… I guess I just got lucky that day, the Pundit though magnanimous enough to let me speak more than her
came there with little or no preparation…I mean skimming through the pages of The World is Flat or even reading it only doesn’t give nor help anyone develop a clear idea of globalization…c must have been overwhelmed by the book like I was ( then)..hehe…and though I was/am only a novice in these issues…when everyone else in the room hasn’t even done as much research like you have…and moreover when they hold a very biased view and make sweeping statements like globalization is bad or good for that matter….you easily have the spotlight on you even if you are only talking of the ABCDs of the subject … I guess… maybe MC people should research more to find people who are involved with the issues…or maybe not call the speakers “Pundit” when they aren’t one……I admire her for her friendly and magnanimous nature…but I would take it as a great lesson if I went to a program to talk on a issue and later tell the audience well …as one of you seem to know more ask him/her not me!! that’s very very unprofessional showing lack of homework hoina ra?
ali ali ta arko le janeko hola..but tesko kura bujhne samma ta hunu paryo ni….
(P.S I’d wanted to blog about it the very day…but didn’t ..so I think this long comment is my outlet for all the thoughts that program brought )

’sexy’ has become the most common prefix for anything people like. It seems ’sex’ should find itself a new name now:)

Basanta ji,
So far I remember, this four-letter word used to be considered vulgar during our college days- some 15 years back!
One Hindi songs with this word had created lots of tehalka..but nowadays its quite popular!
Why sould another word be punished for this?
